Objectives:-

The student

1. identifies and draws a bar graph for the real life situations.

2. scans the detailed information of the bar graph .

3. enjoys in working as a group while filling relevant data for the given task.

4. writes the paragraphs of the bar graph using the correct data on their own.

5. presents their answers to the whole class confidently.

 Teaching Learning Process:-

Step 01-

The teacher,

-asks the favorite colors of students in the class.

-asks one girl to enter data to the table displayed in the board.

-leads a discussion about the collected data.

Step 02:-

Now the teacher discusses about the displaying the data in a form of graphical method.

-describes about the types of charts using a power point presentation.

-gets students to draw the chart on the white board using the table.

-Then asks questions from the students using the graph.

Step 03:-

The teacher helps the students to build up sentences about the bar graph using some key words.

Gets them write sentences on the board.

Discusses the special grammatical structures when writing sentences.

Step      04:-

-Divides the class into groups.

-distributes the copies of the bar graph and ask them to fill the blanks.

-leads a discussion about the answers.

Step 05:-

-asks the students to write a paragraph about the bar graph given in the text book on their own.

Materials Needed       - Whiteboard and markers

-          Printed bar graph Worksheets

-          Flash cards with vocabulary

1. Presentation (10 minutes)

Objective: Introduce the concept of notices and their purpose.

Materials: Examples of notices given in the text book textbook.

Steps:

Introduction to Notices:

Ask the students if they have seen any notices at school or home.

Explain that notices are short pieces of information displayed in public places to inform people about important things.

Examples of Notices:

Show examples of simple notices (e.g., a school event notice, a lost-and-found notice).

Read the notices aloud and discuss their purpose.

Textbook Activity:

Refer to the textbook section on notices.

Read a sample notice from the textbook and discuss its key parts (e.g., heading, date, body, contact information).

 

2. Practice (20 minutes)

Objective: Students practice writing and understanding notices.

Materials: Textbook, paper, pencils.

Steps:

Group Activity:

Divide the class into small groups.

Give each group a scenario (e.g., a school trip, a missing item, a special event).

Ask each group to write a notice based on their scenario.

Textbook Exercises:

Guide students through the activities in the textbook related to notices.

Assist students in completing the exercises, ensuring they understand the format and content of notices.

Peer Review:

Have groups exchange their notices with another group.

Each group reads and discusses the notice they received, offering suggestions for improvement.

 

3. Production (10 minutes)

Objective: Students create and present their own notices.
